Characters are also uni-dimensional and even pathetic, occasionally foolishly falling victim to their foes and then suffering for it, something employed to create drama, which it actually doesn't, because it is so dumb. The magic employed by the characters is weak and nonsensical, while the characters themselves are mostly stupid - you'd HAVE to be to play this deadly "game," because the only true villain here is the game- master and his cronies, the destruction of whom should be the real plot of the story. The author is overly consumed with keeping his psychopathic villains and not much concerned with the status and well- being of his heroes and heroines, who suffer mightily at the hands of their foes, sometimes ridiculously & inordinately so. What IS there is overly sketchy & under-developed, & isn't concluded in any sensible or satisfying way. A solid, heartfelt story never quite materializes. As an author myself who enjoys anime, I know it could easily have been made better! Laziness and lack of imagination caused it not to be. Scantily clad and nude sexy young women scampering about destroying each other for no intelligent reason, and no definable goal ("you'll get something good at the end if you're the last one standing"), led by a psychotic "game-master" who achieves that position by who knows what means, is a thin storyline at best. In fact, all that pizzaz is distracting & even irritating when you don't have an intelligent plot- line to give it all purpose. The rampant nudity, huge boobs of nearly all the female characters, and routine fan-service - which I'm certainly not against - don't come close to saving this haphazard & amateurish attempt at telling a tale, particularly the last episode, which is pointlessly stupid beyond belief. Currently she competes for Minato's affection by joining the shopping contests and wearing all kinds of outfits from Uzume's collection in order to make him "happy".What we have here is a somewhat ecchi presentation of females running about trying to make a story out of the various elements the author brings into the movie. Like Tsukiumi, Kazehana addresses herself as Minato's 'wife'.

Despite Minato's lack of 'manliness', his concern and love for his Sekirei caused Kazehana to develop feelings for him and she eventually became his Sekirei. She questioned herself however if Minato would be able to convince her to become his Sekirei and decided to put him up to the test. Due to this, Kazehana stated that she didn't had any interest in things such as the Sekirei Plan because she didn't expect to like and accept an Ashikabi other than Minaka. She seems to show hatred towards Takami Sahashi as she could be the person that Minaka Hiroto loved. She's also confident in her natural sex appeal and not afraid to speak her mind as she openly admitted in front of the others that she loved MBI Director Minaka Hiroto, however she was rejected after the confession as he loved someone else. Normally, Kazehana displays a very relaxed personality and often becomes giddy when discussing matters of love. She later addresses herself as Minato's "new wife".

Because of Minato's possible resemblance to his father, she begins to develop feelings towards him and eventually becomes his Sekirei. She meets Minato at the "Izumo inn" and seems to know his father (was possibly in-love with him and wanted to be his Sekirei). She becomes Minato's fifth Sekirei and her power is wind (derived from her name "kaze" which means wind and "Hana" which means flower).
